TAKE A POEM FOR A WALK PASS-AROUND

TAKE as long as you like, then give
A long breath & a medium thought
POEM of pauses
FOR - - - as long - - -  as you think - - -
A breath should be
WALK with it, holding hands

Take me to the ball game
A long look from the highest bleacher
Poem starved fans writing
For all they are worth on paper napkins
A token of appreciation, or a
Walk through the whole history of the human beast

Take what I say to you as an act of love
A word that eases your plight
"Poem" comes along, maybe, like a wedding
for mice, quiet and peaceful, though relentlessly determined to get
Attention, be heard,heeded and caressed
Walk a mile in their shoes (or paws) and you'll understand

TAKE A POEM FOR A WALK

TAKE time to live in metaphor
where else should one
Approach the musing of associative thinking,
mind crows chattering out a
POEM, many poems, poetic
caws hanging off branches
FOR the taking, on an
Afternoon
WALK

Take a poem for a walk

TAKE 3 and a half pounds of metaphor and
A 3.5 ounce bundle of lavender to make your
POEM a lune 3 words, 5 words, 3 words
FOR heavens sake - write a simple little poem, folks
A poem that draws pictures to take us for a
WALK beside a snowy day dream

A COCOON AROUND YOUR WAIST*

After a while that silky
COCOON will unravel, be woven
into fabric to drape
AROUND the topography of
YOUR heart, beating quietly
just above your
WAIST
